Backpacking Trip

So Friday night after work, we headed out past Battleground to this place called Siouxon Falls. (don't worry-I can't pronounce it either haha) We ended up getting there around 9pm and then hiking in with our packs about two miles. It was pitch black while we were setting the tent up!

The next morning, we got up, ate some breakfast, grabbed a small backpack and headed further up the trail. It was really pretty...we were hiking along the stream so there were a lot of little waterfalls along the way.

The picture below is at the top of the waterfall pictured above.

Andy liked the little pool of water next to the waterfall

It was so green and beautiful. Lots of trees and different kinds of plants...we even found some huckleberry bushes! I love huckleberries :)

It was only about another 2 miles to the last little waterfall so we stopped there and ate lunch :)

Really neat-looking mossy tree. Andy took this picture!

It was nice to get out and enjoy nature even if it was a short trip.

We hiked back down to our tent and packed everything up before heading back down the trail.

I like bridges a lot...

especially this one :) It was a very short trip...I had to be to work at 4pm on Saturday so it wasn't even a full day. We definitely enjoyed the time away from the city though!
